I do this by installing the grease fitting in a test setup that mimics the real – world application. I use the same type of lubricant that will be used in the actual machinery. Then, I run the test setup for a certain period of time and monitor the performance of the fitting.
I check for any signs of wear, corrosion, or other problems. If there are any issues, it means the fitting might not be compatible with the machinery or the lubricant. And in that case, I can’t supply it to my customers.
